During CES a few days ago, Lenovo announced their ThinkPad X120e and their new ThinkPad Edges. Now, we are already seeing their next ThinkPad product being leaked through high quality shots. Design wise, the Lenovo ThinkPad X220t looks much the same as any other ThinkPad, but under the hood are some profound changes. It’s said that the ThinkPad X220t will feature a DisplayPort interface, along with a VGA port, two USB 2.0 ports (which might be upgraded to USB 3.0 in time for launch), a SD card reader, capacitive touchscreen (woot!) and a stylus. Lenovo has updated the new 12.5-inch E220s and 14-inch E420s ThinkPads with second generation Intel Core CPUs, together with a design revamp featuring new soft-matte lids, glossy glass displays, and HD webcameras. The updated design also features metal-accented exterior rims which makes it all less plastic, but an even better improvement is that both systems are now more light and slim. The inch-thick ThinkPad E220s weighs less than 1.6kg and the E420s, with its optical drive, weighs in at 1.9kg. Both ThinkPad Edges will arrive with Intel’s latest Core i5 and i7 processors, with your choice of 5400RPM and 7200RPM hard drives, and the E420s will have AMD’s latest Radeon HD 6630M switchable graphics as an option. Price-wise, the E220s will start at $899 and the E420s at $749 (EUR 670 and 560 respectively), and both will be available in April. PR after the break!
