Lenovo’s Honeycomb powered ThinkPad Tablet leaks, planned for release this summer

This upcoming tablet by Lenovo might remind you to the ASUS Transformer at first glance and it’s no surprise since it looks quite similar with its attachable keyboard.  The leaked PowerPoint presentation has all the juicy specifications and we can see Lenovo is seriously stepping up to the game with this tablet. Hardware details include an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a 10.1” 1280×800 res IPS display, USB, micro USB and HDMI ports and a full SD card reader while it’s running on top of the latest Android release, Honeycomb with Lenovo’s custom UI. 3G connectivity is also mentioned amongst the specs. Apart from these it will ship with two optional accessories, the attachable ”keyboard portfolio case” and a pen. Release is expected this August for $499 USD (approx. €342 EUR).


Lenovo ThinkPad X1 appears online, thinnest Lenovo laptop so far

A new Lenovo ThinkPad has appeared on different online shops. It has a Intel Core i5 2520M CPU, clocking in at 2.5GHz. The X1 has a 13.3 inch Gorilla Glass screen, with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It is not as thin as the Samsung Series 9 and Apple MacBook Air, but it comes quite close with its 21.5mm (0.8 inch). Some other specifications of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 are a 160GB SSD, 8GB RAM and a SDXC card reader. It will cost €2005 (2920USD), and will be released on the 20th of May.


Lenovo ThinkPad X220 and X220T come with 24 hours of battery life

Lenovo X220Lenovo has officially announced the latest refresh in their X Series ultraportable line; the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X220t (tablet). These new bad boys come in your choice of Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors, along with a 12.5-inch (IPS optional) display, and up to an Epic 24 hours of battery life. This hefty battery life is made possible by the X220′s 9-cell battery, while the X220t manages 16 hours with a multitouch Gorilla Glass screen. Other specifications include optional Intel SSDs (up to 160GB), up to 8GB of RAM memory, USB 3.0 connectivity and a 720p HD webcam. Pricing will start at $899 for the ThinkPad X220 and $1,199 USD for Lenovo’s ThinkPad X220t, which translates to €650 and 864 Euros, respectively. Press release after the break.


Lenovo ThinkPad X220t images leak out onto the interwebs

thinkpad x220tDuring CES a few days ago, Lenovo announced their ThinkPad X120e and their new ThinkPad Edges. Now, we are already seeing their next ThinkPad product being leaked through high quality shots. Design wise, the Lenovo ThinkPad X220t looks much the same as any other ThinkPad, but under the hood are some profound changes. It’s said that the ThinkPad X220t will feature a DisplayPort interface, along with a VGA port, two USB 2.0 ports (which might be upgraded to USB 3.0 in time for launch), a SD card reader, capacitive touchscreen (woot!) and a stylus. For those who aren’t familiar with this series of the ThinkPad; the screen can be flipped around to turn this device into a tablet computer.

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E220s and E420s announced: faster, sexier and lighter!

thinkpad edge 420sLenovo has updated the new 12.5-inch E220s and 14-inch E420s ThinkPads with second generation Intel Core CPUs, together with a design revamp featuring new soft-matte lids, glossy glass displays, and HD webcameras. The updated design also features metal-accented exterior rims which makes it all less plastic, but an even better improvement is that both systems are now more light and slim. The inch-thick ThinkPad E220s weighs less than 1.6kg and the E420s, with its optical drive, weighs in at 1.9kg. Both ThinkPad Edges will arrive with Intel’s latest Core i5 and i7 processors, with your choice of 5400RPM and 7200RPM hard drives, and the E420s will have AMD’s latest Radeon HD 6630M switchable graphics as an option. Price-wise, the E220s will start at $899 and the E420s at $749 (EUR 670 and 560 respectively), and both will be available in April. Lenovo ThinkPad X120e ultraportable comes with the AMD Zacate

This 11.6-inch ultraportable laptop still has the same chassis as the previous versions, complete with the ergonomic curved keys, red pointing stick, but instead of AMD’s old Neo parts, it comes with the anticipated AMD Fusion APU technology. The Lenovo X120e will be available with either the Zacate E-240 or E-350 processors, which features the AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics card on the same chip. According to Lenovo, the X120e will deliver a great graphics experience with a battery lasting over 6.5 hours. The Lenovo ThinkPad X120e will be available in February this year for a super awesomely reasonable price of $399 USD (around 300 Euros).
