With many capacitive devices out there (like the iPhone 4S, BlackBerry Playbook, and the Meizu M9), there’s an increasing need for a stylus. Sure, you may not need one for normal usage on your phone, but for those students and businessman out there, a stylus definitely helps in drawing those complicated graphs. Arctic Accessories, a new start-up that aims to provide products with both style and functionality, recently released their first product, the Architect Stylus. After using it intensively for a week, we’re now ready to do a review. Curious? Read up after the jump.

Mountek MT5000 Universal CD Slot Mount quick review
As smartphones are becoming more advanced, they are increasingly replacing other gadgets and becoming all-in-one devices where we consolidate our gadget needs. For instance, modern smartphones are already sufficient replacements for MP3 players, PDAs and point-and-shoot cameras. Another smartphone feature that’s gaining popularity is the GPS. With major GPS manufacturers such as Navigon and Garmin releasing iPhone and Android navigation apps, the smartphone is quickly becoming a must-have for all drivers.
Most car mounts for smartphones are attached to the car window, which blocks valuable sight for the driver. Some mounts are attached to cigarette socket, but our experience with those haven’t been great, since they are hard to mount snugly and move around. Mountek has taken a different approach with the MT5000, which mounts onto the car’s CD slot.
A-Solar Power Pack AM-403 for iPhone 4 review
In the past mobile phones were simple. You texted, played snake and made a call once in a while. Nowadays you can pretty much do anything with a smart phone such as control your TV, open the garage door, navigate through down-town London or book a hotel in China. Battery technology haven’t been able to keep up with this insane technical advancement and battery life sure is one of today’s standing critiques against Apple’s iPhones.
Forgot your charger at home or is there no outlet nearby? Are you a fan of the outdoors hiking somewhere but still want to update your Facebook status? No problem! With A-Solar’s Power Pack for iPhone 4 you can charge your phone in the sun!
The idea is simple. The Power Pack for iPhone 4 (simply called the AM-403) by A-Solar is an external battery case for the iPhone 4. The backside is clad with a solar panel and by leaving it in the sun for around 12 hours, you have extra juice for your iPhone whenever and wherever you need it. We managed to get our hands on one of these, and have now tested it for a week. Continue reading to see what we thought of it.
Quik Pod extendable handheld tripod review
One of the most unique camera accessories that I’ve ever seen is the Quik Pod. The Quik Pod serves two different purposes. First of all, it is an extendable arm that attaches to your camera. This extendable arm’s purpose is to make it easier to take pictures of yourself. The other purpose it serves is a tripod. The Quik Pod comes with a tripod extension that attaches to the extendable arm. This tripod extension will hold the Quick Pod, with your mounted camera, so that you can have a small, portable tripod.
Does the Quik Pod work as advertised? Is it worth $29.95? Find out in our review! Read it after the break.
DualTek Extreme Shock Band by Pure Gear review
The DualTek Extreme Shock Band is advertised as “…the best in extreme shock protection” and “…scientifically proven protection you can count on“. In their promo video, smartphones are dropped left to right; falling out of cars, from desks, onto rocks and so on. The question is, is this fail proof? And do you really wanna disgrace your smartphone by cladding it in rubber?
Nexus Silent Mouse review: Is this mouse really silent?!
Sometimes when you are in a quiet setting, you wish that your computer mouse didn’t always make that clicking sound every time you click on something. Nexus has combated this problem with the Nexus Silent Mouse. Nexus claims that this mouse is completely silent when using left click, right click, and even the scroll wheel. However, we at thegadgetsite were skeptical of this and wanted to see for ourselves! We put the Nexus Silent Mouse to the test to see if it really is silent like Nexus claims. (Read the review after the break.)
