It’s been quite a day. MacBook Air and Pros refresh, along with the next-gen Retina Display MacBook Pro. And now, Tim’s talking about Mountain Lion, with over 200 new features! Here’s some:
Built-in iCloud support. Messages, Reminders and Notes, which are new apps, will always be in-sync with iCloud, so you can access them anywhere! A document-based app is coming soon, but there’s no mention of time yet. The biggest one in those 3 is Messages; when your phone buzzes with a new message, you can just respond on your Mac and the message will be sent. That’s pretty convenient.
Dictation. Users can now talk and the software will write for you! There’s no proper Siri yet, but we’ll just have to make-do.
GameCenter’s coming to Mac, and there’s multiplayer support for cross-device competitive gaming!
Mountain Lion is coming next month and it’ll be $19.99! However, it’s not shipping with all the new Macs, but they’ll be eligible for a free upgrade!
