Well, the Ultrabooks just keep on coming. Today, HP announced Envy 14 Spectre, and is marketing it as a “premium Ultrabook“. Of course, given the $1,400 price, we noticed the “premium” part. Although the price is higher and it is one of the chubbiest 14-inch Ultrabook we’ve seen (3.79 pounds and 20mm thick), the price is worth it as the laptop comes with a 14-inch, 1600 x 900 Radiance Display (extra brightness), Core i5-2467M CPU, 4GB of RAM, a nine-hour battery, back-lit keyboard, carrying case and a NFC chip built-in for transferring URLs to your phone’s browser. It also contains Intel Wireless Display, HP’s CoolSense technology, Beats, HP Wireless Audio, full copies of Photoshop and Premiere Elements and a two-year subscription to Norton Internet Security. That’s a whole lot, and there’s also upgrade options including a 256GB SSD and an extra 4GB of RAM. For those that are excited, the Spectre will go on sale in the US on February 8, and then to Canada, the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Chile and Mexico in March.
