Sony introduces interactive toys for PS3 that detects movement and cries

Sony interactive toy patent

A patent intercepted from the U.S. Patent Office shows that Sony is thinking about bringing interactive toys to PlayStation games. These toys would include dolls and stuffed animals, which is what’s represented in the patent. The toy can detect movement of itself and send feedback to the user. One of the more unique ways of the toy providing feedback is a water reservoir system that makes the toy cry. The only thing that’s missing is a way for the toy to “relieve itself”. Wouldn’t that be fun?

Anyways, this toy is still in the planning phases and may never pan out after all, much like the similar Microsoft ActiMate, which never made it to the market.
