Apple CEO Steve Jobs said late 2010 that we were to see major changes for MobileMe in 2011, and judging by recent reports, this shift seems to be happening sooner rather than later.
Apple has cut supplies for MobileMe, and have been telling suppliers that they will release a free, and completely revamped version of the serviced next month. According to a new report, Apple is suggesting to their vendors that they should recommend customers who want MobileMe to sign up for the 60-day free trial, to cover the gap between now and the MobileMe refresh.
From the looks of it, the new MobileMe will be pretty different from past iterations, and Apple will continue supporting current MobileMe customers for a year after the new MobileMe is released.Rumors are saying that the next iteration of Apple MobileMe will be free, and act as your digital media locker in the cloud.
